USB Drive Mis-caculated Drive Space?

I have a 4gig usb ride expostulate as well as we attempted to implement Google Chrome Operating System to my thumbdrive. BAD IDEA. Now my 4 gig is usually display 900mb when we reformat it. Is it partitionedf? we do not see any partitions to a expostulate (multiple disks display in My computer). It’s not that, we attempted defragging it only to see, as well as we still cant figure it out.
Do we need a little special Formatting program to reformat a total drive? Windows isn’t you do a job!

I attempted both answers. There’s no partition. And we reformatted regulating a eHow. It still says 4.0kb used as well as 948Free. we know it’s 4 gigs bc I’ve owned this for over a year. as well as a Chrome Operating System files were about 3 gigs
